Pamela Withers Chilton has been passionate about costume design since her first internship on Oliver Stone’s Born on the Fourth of July. The experience ignited a lifelong love for storytelling through costumes, leading her to Los Angeles, where she built an impressive career in film and television.
Pam has contributed her creative vision to some of the most beloved films of the past few decades. She worked as an assistant costume designer on iconic comedies like There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber before stepping into the lead designer role on films such as The Wedding Planner and Kicking & Screaming, among many others.
In television, Pam brought her expertise to six seasons of the Emmy-winning Modern Family and designed the critically acclaimed Hulu series Maggie, crafting costumes that seamlessly blended realism with character depth.
Known for her collaborative spirit and character-driven approach, Pam brings stories to life through costume design that enhances narrative, personality, and visual storytelling. Whether working on a blockbuster comedy or an intimate television series, she is dedicated to creating costumes that feel authentic, lived-in, and integral to the world of each project.
